Specification of software systems

A slightly different form of language is used when modelling and specifying what a system should do. Each object’s behaviour can be defined in terms of a set of operations it provides to other objects to use. The information for which an object should be responsible is defined as a set of attributes (sometimes called properties). As we shall see, both these terms tend to become mixed up with terms more properly used when coding.
